About our Artists' Retreat

History
Arts West Council will be sponsoring its 34th annual Artists' Retreat in 2025. This five-day art camp is held at the Riding Mountain Conference Centre (Camp Wannukumbac) at scenic Clear Lake, Manitoba, Canada. It provides participants with an opportunity to concentrate on developing their artistic skills and goals beyond the introductory level, under the supervision of experienced professional instructors. Enrolment at the camp is limited to 40 participants.

2025 Retreat Classes

  Oil / Acrylic Painting (15 spaces) with Instructor:  Jan Layh

  Water-media (12 spaces) with Instructor:  Leona Herzog

  Drawing (7 spaces) with Instructor:  Ben Davis

  Printmaking (7 spaces) with Instructor:  Karen Cornelius

Retreat Fees
$700 includes accommodation, standard meals, instruction and GST.  Note that Art Supplies are not included, your instructor will provide you with a list detailing the supplies you will need to bring with you for their workshop course.

Retreat Registration: two ways to to register - either click on Retreat Registration Brochure to download the pdf of our retreat registration brochure for completing and submitting, OR you can fill in our Online Retreat Registration Form.  A deposit of $100 must be included with your registration, details are included in both the brochure and the online entry form.  Balance is due May 15th.
